In the previous post, I explained to you that Scammer steals your WhatsApp Verification Codes. The scammer uses the WhatsApp logo as a profile picture and asks you to share your WhatsApp verification codes. If you share your WhatsApp Verification Codes by Mistake, they steal your WhatsApp account. Also, they download your backup picture, video, etc.
How to recover your stolen WhatsApp account?
- Logout from your WhatsApp and re-register your WhatsApp with your phone number.
- Enter the 6 digit Verification Codes and Verify your phone number. When you verify your number the scammer will be log out automatically from your WhatsApp account.
- Enter your two-step verification code and use your WhatsApp. If you have enabled the two-step verification in your WhatsApp account.
- In case you don’t know this code, WhatsApp warns that the person using your account might enable the two-step verification. You will have to wait for 7 days, in this case, to sign in to your account. The good news is that when you cannot access your account, the scammer will not be able to access so, which in turn will ensure the security of your account.
WhatsApp wrote in its FAQ page, “Even though you know this verification code, the other person was logged out of your account after entering the 6-digit code.
