Minister of State for IT and Communication Sanjay Dhotre informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that The Indian Government had also asked WhatsApp to review the proposed privacy policy update. The Dhotre said in a reply to Lok Sabha, The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Meity) took cognizance of WhatsApp’s new privacy policy update stated to be implemented to Indian users.
Meity has asked WhatsApp to review the proposed privacy policy changes and also to explain the rationale of the same to protect the interest of Indian users.
