OpenAI is working on a new ChatGPT Stickers feature that would allow users to generate AI stickers. It makes it easier to create custom AI stickers for WhatsApp inside the ChatGPT app and export them to WhatsApp easily with just a single tap.
ChatGPT Custom WhatsApp Stickers Feature
The new ChatGPT stickers feature has been discovered in the latest version, 1.2026.216, of the ChatGPT App. The codebase of the ChatGPT app reveals a dedicated sticker creation and export feature that will soon be available to users.
They can create custom AI-generated stickers directly inside the ChatGPT app with just a single tap. After creating the sticker packs, they can tap on the dedicated Add to WhatsApp button to directly export to WhatsApp as custom sticker packs.
This new feature by OpenAI ChatGPT will eliminate the process of generating the sticker image first by users, then downloading it, cropping it, and finally importing it to WhatsApp manually.
However, the Add to WhatsApp button will comply with WhatsApp’s sticker pack guidelines, the company said. Currently, the Meta-owned messaging app mandates that a sticker pack must have a minimum of three stickers and a maximum of 30 stickers.
Not only WhatsApp, but OpenAI is also planning to add Facebook, Instagram, and more chatting app options to add stickers on multiple platforms in just one click.
Currently, the ChatGPT Custom Stickers feature is under development. So, more features and the release date of the ChatGPT Custom Stickers feature for WhatsApp will be revealed in the coming days.
ChatGPT by OpenAI is also working on its first hardware product, a smart Speaker. Smart Speaker by ChatGPT looks like a doughnut and is hockey puck-sized. Reportedly, this Smart speaker will be priced between $300 and $400 (approximately Rs 29,000 to Rs 38,000 in India).
