Nothing has announced the Android 15 Developer Preview Program for Nothing users before the Google I/O. The new Android 15 update is only available for the newly released Nothing Phone 2a instead of their flagship Nothing Phone 2. This new Android 15 Beta update is available for the White, black, and milk versions of the Phone 2a.

How to Download and install Android 15 Beta on the Nothing Phone 2a

  1. You have to Download the Android Beta package directly to your Android phone.
  2. Create a folder named “ota” in your phone’s internal storage using your phone’s File Manager app.
  3. Copy the update file to the newly created “ota” folder.
  4. Now open the phone Dialer app on your device and enter the following code: *#*#682#*#*.
  5. Once you enter the code, it will open the local update tool. Select the update package option from the drop-down menu.
  6. In case you don’t see the OTA update file then tap on the Browse button and select the “OTA” folder then select the upgrade file.
  7. After this, tap on the Directly Apply OTA from the selection button to begin the update process. One of the important things to note is to make sure you don’t remove the local update tool from the recent or close the app.
  8. Once the upgrade process completes then tap on Confirm on the pop-up to reboot the device.

Once your phone restarts, your phone will boot into the Android 15 Beta 1 as if it is a new phone since all its data will be erased. If you want to go back to Android 14 then download the roll-back package and follow the same steps to use Android 14 on your device.
